A Draw With Rovers
Wolves under 18s took a creditable point from their trip to Blackburn on Saturday.
Although Rovers took the lead, the visitors hit back with a goal from 15-year-old Zele Ismail - his first at this level.
Coach John Parkins said: "Blackburn have a strong side and they started the game well with Richard Woolley pulling off three good saves to keep things level.
"We began to work our way into things after around 20 minutes and Zele and Ashley (Hemmings) began to put them under pressure. But Blackburn hit us on the break to take the lead with a shot from just inside our box.
"That was after half-an-hour but five minutes later we draw level when Zele slid in to find the net from eight-yards after a centre from Scott Malone.
"Whilst our first-half performance was a bit up and down, we performed much better after the break.
"David Davis, who had come on as a substitute, began to dominate the midfield whilst Danny Batth and Mark Connolly kept things tight at the back.
"Ashley went close to grabbing a winner for us on a couple of occasions but the game finished all square.
"We fully deserved the point and, with a little bit of luck, we could have had all three."
