Wolves reward for a 3-2 victory over Leicester City in the FA Youth Cup at The Walker's Stadium last night, is an away fourth round tie with Arsenal.

A date and venue for the game has yet to be confirmed.

In a lively start at Leicester the aerial power of Daniel Batth repulsed the home side on a number of occasions.

City where given an early scare when a David Davis corner had them struggling clear their lines and Scott Malone forced another corner as Wolves kept up the pressure. At the other end Richard Woolley coolly gathered a dangerous high cross from Luke O'Neill.

Following another David Davis corner Ashley Hemmings (pictured) was thwarted by home keeper Robert Ambrusics and then a quick interchange between Jorrin John and Craig King at the other end looked like giving the home side the advantage but a fine interception by Fungandel Moke saved the day.

After 24 minutes Wolves took a deserved lead when an in swinging corner from Malone on the right was headed home by James Davis.

After Richard Woolley saved a fierce shot from Robbie Burns, David Davis put Ashley Hemmings through to force a corner which was taken by James Davis and saw Mark Connolly heading just wide.

Wolves had been well on top but they were rocked back on their heels after 41 minutes when Leicester broke quickly and Nathan Hicks hit a terrific shot high into the net from 25 yards to put his team level.

Two minutes later Wolves had a golden opportunity to regain the advantage when a surging run from Sam Winnall set up Malone but the defender screwed his shot wide.

Worse was to follow for Wolves when in added time John's expertly flighted free kick from the left was powerfully headed home by Tom Parkes to give Leicester an against the run of play interval lead.

Straight after the restart Kyle Bennett ran through but his shot lacked the power to seriously trouble Ambrusics.

Claudio Hoban then curled a free kick onto the top of the Wolves' net before Hemmings hit a fierce shot wide at the other end.

Wolves introduced Michael Wardle into the game for Moke after 54 minutes in a tactical change and then five minutes later were forced to make another substitution when James Davis limped off to be replaced by Jamie Reckord.

The visitors were pressing hard and it came as no surprise when they drew level with 64 minutes gone. Winnall cut in from the right and hit a hard low shot from a narrow angle which left Ambrusics with little chance of saving.

Then came the defining moment after 76 minutes when Malone, who was enjoying a fine game, ran down the left wing and delivered a dangerous low cross into the goal mouth where unfortunate home central defender Cian Bolgar succeeded only in turning the ball into his own net.

Wolves were in total control for the remainder of the game with Hemmings having two opportunities, first with a header that went wide followed by a shot that flashed just past the post.

Although at the final whistle the winning margin was narrow, Wolves could have won by a much larger margin such was their dominance.

Coach John Perkins said: "I thought the lads did very well on what was a bitterly cold night. We certainly deserved the win and we will all look forward to the next stage when we face probably one of the toughest ties of the round with an away trip to Arsenal.

"But we will go there with a positive attitude."
