Kids Recover After Slow Start
The Academy under 18s came from a goal down to beat Bolton when the sides met at Compton Park on Saturday.
The Molineux youngsters made a slow start to the game but finished the 90 minutes well on top and deserving winners.
Coach John Perkins said: "We had got into a habit of making poor starts this season and disappointingly, after the game with Huddersfield last week when we were on the ball from the off, we slipped back into our old ways.
"We were off the pace in the opening minutes and were lucky not to have conceded more than the one goal with Richard Woolley making two great saves.
"Then we finally woke up and got our act together and equalised in the 26th minute through Scott Malone (pictured) who converted from close range at the end of a four man move.
"We finished the first-half quite strongly but, after the break, I thought that we played some of our best football of season.
"Danny Batth and Mark Connolly kept things tight at the back and Sam Winnall and Ashley Hemmings caused lots of problems for Bolton's defence.
"We got the winning goal in the 71st minute when Sam got on the end of a John Dunleavy centre to score from 10-yards.
"After that we had three or four good chances which, had they been taken, would have given the final score a more realistic look to it.
"But, apart from the slow opening, I was more than happy with the performance.
