Wolves have revealed the retained list from the Development Squad of the club’s younger players keen to try and push on for senior contention.
The year’s option has been taken up on midfielder Jim Kellerman, while Dominic Iorfa, who has enjoyed his first senior taste of football on loan at Shrewsbury, has signed a new one-year contract with a further year’s option.
Those two players join Jonathan Flatt and Eusebio Bancessi from the same age group who had already had their futures secured.
Tim Jakobsson, Jamie Tank, Jordan Cranston, Robbie Parry, Sam Whittall, Kristian Kostrna and David Moli will not be offered new contracts when their deals expire at the end of the season.
“We have seen a lot of players from this age group break through into the first team this season,” said Head of Football Development and Recruitment Kevin Thelwell.
“The players who are in that group who are not being offered new contracts are probably in a situation where they have had enough experience and maybe gone past our Under-21 level, but are not quite ready to challenge for our own first team.
“It then becomes a situation where it isn’t of benefit both to those players and to the club to keep them at Wolves, and they can now go out and take the opportunity of trying to pick up senior football elsewhere.
“In terms of Jim and Dominic it is congratulations for securing the new deals, before the hard work starts to continue their development and progress next season.
“Those lads who will be leaving us are good lads and will receive all the help needed to try and find new clubs – we thank them for their efforts and wish them all the best.”
