On Saturday 13th April 2013 the new Wolves Disabled Supporter Association will be officially launched in the North Bank Bar commencing at 12pm and will be attended by Wolves Official representatives
Briefly the history of the forming of the DSA came about when in August 2012 a ‘Steering Group’ was formed to create the Wolves Disabled Supporter Association. The group was elected from our registered disabled fanbase and fantastically supported by ‘Level Playing Field‘ the representing body guiding both clubs and disabled people when developing such associations. The Steering Group agreed the basis of a constitution and the reasoning for the existence of the DSA while also electing a Chairperson, Assistant Chair and Secretary.
From the commencement of this organisation it was stated clearly by other professional football clubs we would not be in the position we are until the New Year at least and to say we are delighted with the progress and pace at which the DSA has developed and harnessed interest is an understatement.
We are also delighted to announce that Rachel Heyhoe Flint has been nominated and agreed to become honorary President of the DSA so all that remains is to say we look forward to seeing you on
the day which is prior to the Wolves v Huddersfield game .
We would dearly love to see you at the event where you can enjoy the first drink courtesy of Wolves.
