Wolves can confirm the appointment of German coach Patrick Weiser to the club’s backroom staff.
The 40-year-old will re-united with boss Ståle Solbakken, after being promoted by the manager during their time together at Cologne last season.
A former player with Cologne as well, Weiser also represented Rennes and Vfl Wolfsburg during his career, and was a youth team coach with Cologne prior to his promotion.
Weiser was in the Director’s Box at Blackburn for Wolves’ 1-0 win on October 6, and joins up with the squad to travel to Huddersfield this afternoon ahead of tomorrow’s game.
“After assessing various candidates Ståle and the club have decided that Patrick is the best man to fill the coaching vacancy and we are delighted to welcome him to Molineux,” said Wolves’ CEO Jez Moxey.
“He will bring in some further fresh ideas and expertise to our backroom staff and aim to help the players build on an encouraging start to the season.”
More details will follow Ståle’s pre-match press conference.
