Wolves Appeal Berra Red Card

Evidence submitted to the FA

Wolves have lodged an appeal with the Football Association for wrongful dismissal following Christophe Berra’s red card at Watford on Saturday.

Berra was dismissed in the 25th minute at Vicarage Road for “denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity”  following a tussle with Watford striker Troy Deeney.

Wolves had to serve notice of the appeal by 1pm today, and will be submitting both written and video evidence to support their claim.

A decision will then be received this week in advance of Saturday’s fixture against Nottingham Forest, which Berra is currently due to miss as a result of his one-game suspension.
