Soccer AM visit the team

December has been a busy period for the Futsal Scholars with not only the league and cup fixtures building up. Sky Sports Soccer AM came to visit the scholars to find out what exactly goes on during a pre-match day.

The feature, which was aired on Saturday 14th December, showed behind the scenes footage at Compton Training ground. Led by Head Coach Steve Cullis, the feature showed the boys hard at work on the 3G pitch before moving on to discuss tactics and goals for the games ahead. The Scholars were also joined by senior players Leigh Griffiths, Matt Doherty and Anthony Forde for some pre match chat and advice for the big games.

The day didn’t go quite to planned with the A team losing to League leaders Derby  3-2, but a dominating performance from the B team, saw them produce the best football of the season and outgun Crewe 5–2
