Youngsters hope to continue run

Wolves Under-21s will be aiming to continue their unbeaten record when they take on Liverpool for the fourth time this season at Telford’s New Bucks Head this evening (7pm).

Wolves have played Liverpool three times so far this season, drawing one and losing two, but were close to becoming the first side to beat the Reds at the start of the current Elite Stage of the Barclays Under-21 League.

Since then Liverpool have been beaten twice and currently occupy third place in the table on 11 points.

At the halfway stage of the group, Wolves are on eight points, and victory tonight would take them level on points with Liverpool.

The top three teams from the eight-strong group qualify for the finals with Wolves, who have won two and drawn two of their last four games, currently in sixth.

Anthony Forde is missing from the side which drew 0-0 with Manchester United last Monday as he has joined Scunthorpe on loan.

Zeli Ismail is available despite his sending off against United as the three-match ban comes into force 14 days after the dismissal.

Lee Evans however is still missing due to a slight hamstring injury.

WOLVES: Flatt, Whittall, Tank, Ihiekwe, Cranston, Ismail, Price, Jakobsson, Parry, Winnall, McAlinden.  SUBS: Dutton, Kellermann, Iorfa, Moli, Keita.
