Matt Doherty will get the chance to step up his recovery by featuring in tonight’s Under-21 fixture away at Blackburn at Leigh Sports Village (7pm).
Doherty has been sidelined for a fortnight with a slight hamstring injury picked up at Sheffield United but can further his claims to try and put pressure on a senior defence which has been in excellent form.
Other players with senior Wolves experience included tonight are Anthony Forde and Jamie O’Hara while Eusebio Bancessi, an unused substitute for the first team over the last couple of games, will also feature.
This is the Under-21s last away league game of the season, with the visit of Norwich to Telford on April 22nd the final fixture.
WOLVES: Flatt, Doherty, Tank, Hause, Kellerman, Bancessi, Kostrna, O’Hara, Forde, Whittall, Keita. SUBS: Burgoyne, Parry, Carter, Erdei, Torras.
