Reserves hoping to be City slickers

Wolves entertain Manchester City at Telford’s New Bucks Head tonight aiming to finish second in the group to qualify for the Elite Group Stage when the leagues are restructured.

The top two teams in Groups 2 and 3 will qualify for the Elite league next time out, and Wolves currently sit second behind runaway Group 3 leaders Liverpool and a point clear of both Chelsea and Middlesbrough.

The situation in Group 2 suggests Wolves will need the second placed finish to qualify for the top division, and victory tonight would guarantee that position.

An added ingredient is that Chelsea and Middlesbrough face each other in their final game at the Riverside Stadium tonight, and were they to draw then Wolves would only need one point to qualify.

Ronald Zubar is the only senior over-age player included in the team tonight which is otherwise made up of the young players who have enjoyed an impressive season in a competitive division.

Kick off is 7pm and admission is free for Wolves’ Season Ticket Holders – otherwise £5 for adults and £1 concessions.
