Wolves under 21s play their final ‘home’ game of the season this evening when Manchester United provide the opposition at Telford’s Bucks Head.
In the away fixture against The Reds, on a bitterly cold March night at Altrincham, Steve Weaver’s team held United to a goalless draw despite having been reduced to ten men following the red card shown to Zeli Ismail after a mistimed challenge on Chris Smalling just ten minutes into the game.
The last two fixtures for the Wolves team have seen narrow defeats against London opposition. Both Arsenal and West Ham took two goal leads before, on both occasions, Sam Winnall and Lee Evans scored the goals that levelled matters.
But late goals in each case condemned Wanderers to defeat with the strike from Arsenal substitute Sanchez Watt coming just 20 seconds from the end of the four added minutes.
Kick-off this evening is at 7.00pm and admission is £5 adults, £1 concessions and free for season ticket holders,
Wolves; Cotman, Whittall, Reckord, Jakobson, Tank, Ihiekwe, Ismail, Price, Winnall, Evans, Cranston.
Subs: Keita, Flatt, Parry, Kellerman, Iorfa.
