Midfielder Tongo Doumbia today declared Wolves need to use the next spell of three home games in four to re-discover their form.
Since the last international break Wolves have taken two points from five games, far cry from the previous run when winning five out of six propelled the team to third in the table.
The pinnacle was perhaps a powerful and confident display in winning at Blackburn, but Doumbia believes Wolves now need to adapt and find the right balance after the opposition because wise to their tactics.
“I think we have been below par in some of the last few games,” says Doumbia, speaking through a translator.
“We have had some very good possession but have come across a number of teams who have been able to stop us playing.
“Technically I think we are superior to a lot of teams in this division but the physical side has not been there in recent games and we need to find that balance.
“I think maybe the last five teams have done their homework and have been physical enough to stop us.
“I think maybe they can ruffle us by stopping us playing.
“I feel we will overcome it because we have strong players as well and just need to find the right balance between the physical and technical sides of the game.
“We maybe haven’t had that in recent games but we can find it and if we do we will pick up points.”
The remainder of November sees Wolves involved in home games with Brighton (on Saturday), Nottingham Forest and Millwall with a trip to Watford in between.
Doumbia believes three out of four at Molineux offers the perfect opportunity to try and get the season back on track, provided Wolves don’t let any additional pressure affect them.
“We need to start winning games again now and we have a chance to do that with three out of four at home,” he said.
“It is easier to do that in front of our own fans who can be like our 12th man.
“We have to seize the moment and get some positive results.
“How we played in that good run we have to do again although we shouldn’t put too much pressure on ourselves.
“We know that pressure is there with recent results, but we have to play with freedom and return to the levels when we won five games out of six.
“We know that we can do it and need to have confidence that we can do it without putting obstacles in the way.
“It is a fact that when you lose games you lose that little bit of confidence but we have to free ourselves from that pressure and go out and win the game.”
