The partnership includes permission for SKYCIG products to be sold and used within certain areas of the stadium, a move which will provide fans with an alternative to smoking, which is banned at Molineux Stadium.
SKYCIG, a brand which maintains a high level of control over its supply chain and product development, will become the first e-cigarette brand to be associated with Wolves and signals the brand’s first move into football sponsorship.
“We are delighted to have partnered with Wolves,” says Tom Rolfe, President of SKYCIG. “By allowing the use of SKYCIG products in the stadium Wolves are giving fans who smoke an alternative option to enjoy during matches and at half-time, which doesn’t inconvenience non-smokers with the smell or second-hand smoke associated with traditional cigarettes.”
Paul Lakin, Head of Commercial Affairs, Wolves, said, “We’re delighted to have signed this two-year deal, with SKYCIG, one of the fastest growing and most popular brands within the e-cigarette industry.
“SKYCIG have had an advertising presence in football for two seasons now, and we’re very proud of the fact that we represent their first football club-specific sponsorship deal.”
SKYCIG representatives will also be present at selected matches over the course of the season to offer product samples to smokers at Molineux Stadium; SKYCIG sampling will kick off at the game against Coventry City on Saturday 19th of October.
