Wolves’ home fixture with Rotherham United next April has been brought forward by 24 hours.
The Molineux meeting with the Millers was originally scheduled for Saturday, 19th April 2014, but it will now be played on the preceding afternoon, the 18th April, which is Good Friday. Kick-off will be at 3pm.
The reasoning behind the switch is that, with an away trip to Leyton Orient penned in for Easter Monday, it will give the squad an extra 24 hours recovery time rather than having to play twice in three days with the journey to London thrown in between the fixtures.
Virtually all the first fixtures of last season’s League 1 Easter programme were played on the Good Friday rather than the Saturday of the Easter weekend and with only two League games remaining to be played after the Easter fixtures of this season, a number of clubs are likely to adopt a similar policy this time round.
