English football to pay tribute

Wolves’ fixture at Crewe on Saturday, April 12th will now kick off at 3.07pm and be preceded by a minute’s silence as a mark of respect and remembrance for those who lost their lives at Hillsborough 25 years ago.

All Premier League, Football League, Football Conference and FA Cup matches taking place over the weekend from April 11-14 will kick off seven minutes later than planned following a minute’s silence.

The match between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest at which the Hillsborough disaster took place on April 15th 1989, was ended six minutes after kick off, at 3.06pm.
