Northampton game added to schedule

Wolves will travel to recently crowned Sky Bet League Two champions Northampton Town for a pre-season friendly.

The game at the Sixfields Stadium will take place on Tuesday, July 26th (7.30pm).

Wolves are no strangers to trips to Northampton having been twice in the League Cup over the last five years.

The last time the teams met, also in the League Cup, saw Northampton win 3-2 at Molineux back in August, 2014.

The fixture looks set to complete Wolves’ pre-season programme of first team games.

The schedule starts with a trip to Crewe on Friday, July 15th (7.30pm) followed by the Irish pre-season training camp to include a game with Cork City on Monday, July 18th (7.45pm).

Next up is a trip to Port Vale on Saturday, July 23rd (3pm), and now Northampton three days later, before the only home friendly, against Swansea City at Molineux on Saturday, July 30th (3pm).

All proceeds from the Swansea game will go towards the Sir Jack Hayward Statue tribute.

Ticket details for any of the fixtures will be announced when they are finalised.
