Kick It Out, football’s equality and inclusion campaign, and Birmingham FA are teaming up with Terry Connor for a free coaching masterclass at the City of Wolverhampton College as part of a series of events entitled ‘Raise Your Game’ on Monday 29 October.
Connor, who left Wolverhampton Wanderers in September after 13 years’ service on the coaching staff, will be joined by a host of special guests and local experts for this event which looks to give aspiring individuals advice and insight into how they can forge a career in areas away from the playing side of the game.
The event, running from 9am-4pm, is being held in conjunction with the Black and Asian Coaches Association, the League Managers’ Association and Birmingham FA, and combines mentoring sessions in areas such as coaching, administration, journalism and community work, and FA workshops in First Aid, and Safeguarding and Child Protection.
Rolling out throughout the country over the next two months, the ‘Raise Your Game’ events form part of the Kick It Out’s Mentoring and Leadership project funded by the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
