With Wolves having no fixture this weekend due to international call-ups, the club would like to remind supporters of the likely similar postponements of the trips to Carlisle and Notts County over the next couple of months.
Wolves currently have Sam Ricketts, Leigh Griffiths, Lee Evans, Jake Cassidy, Aaron McCarey, Matt Doherty and Anthony Forde away on either full or under-21 duty, and with clubs able to apply for postponements after just three such call-ups, tomorrow’s scheduled game with Walsall was re-arranged for Tuesday, September 17 (7.45pm).
The trip to Carlisle on October 12 and Notts County on November 16 also fall on dates in the international calendar and are therefore likely to face postponement in the event of Wolves’ maintaining their current number of call-ups.
Whilst the request for postponement cannot be made until the international call-ups are received, Wolves have been in contact with both Carlisle and Notts County about the situation, and would like to remind fans so as to prevent them making early travel arrangements which are then not required.
An update will be provided when more definite information is available.
