The family of the late Bert Williams have kindly donated to Wolves one of the great keeper’s mementos – a framed signed print of Pele.
Not only is the print signed by the legendary Brazilian, but also two of England’s finest shot stoppers – Gordon Banks and Bert himself.
His two sons. Vaughan and Paul, along with daughter Annette, decided to show their gratitude to the club for the organisation of Bert’s memorial service in February by donating the print to the Molineux Museum.
Annette, along with her husband David Crawshaw, presented it to CEO Jez Moxey along with the following message: ‘The Family of Bert Williams would like to present this gesture of our sincere thanks and appreciation to all at Wolverhampton Wanderers for their help, kindness and generosity to both Bert and his Family. We are most grateful. Annette, Vaughan, Paul’.
