Midfielder returns in behind-closed-doors game

Jamie O’Hara will make his return in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Wigan tomorrow.

O’Hara will play his first football since 45 minutes of the pre-season friendly with Walsall as he steps up his recovery from a troublesome groin injury which has seen him out of first team action since March.

A number of first team players will also figure in the game at the Compton training ground, including Georg Margreitter.

“We’re playing a behind closed doors game tomorrow against Wigan and Jamie is playing 45 minutes,” said boss Ståle Solbakken.

“Georg Margreitter is also playing, 75 or 90 minutes and he’s been back in training for a while.

“More or less all of the fit players who didn’t play at the weekend will have 45 or 90 minutes tomorrow, depending on how much they have played.

“It’s important some of them get their match practice with this busy period coming up so they’re ready because we will use more players than ever over the Christmas period.”

*Fans are advised that the Compton training ground will be closed all day tomorrow due to the fixture.
