Nike Academy 1
The Molineux under 21s edged a tight friendly with the Nike Academy at the FA headquarters at Burton this afternoon.
Wolves included in their line-up five trialists one of whom was to have an eventful contest.
The first-half saw most of the play confined to midfield with few clear cut chances at either end.
Wolves finally broke the deadlock shortly before the hour mark when Ibrahim Keita (pictured) slid a neat pass through to Razak Boukari who drove a low shot across the keeper and into the far corner.
Nike drew level in the 70th minute from the spot after one of the trialists, playing in central defence, fouled a member of the opposition.
But it took Wolves just five minutes to regain the lead – this after Boukari had struck the post. The winger helped on a Carlo Erdei corner and the trialist that had conceded the penalty atoned by running in and smashing a volley into the roof of the net.
Wolves (first-half): Dutton, Iorfa, O’Hanlon, Davis, Trialist 1 (central defence), Trialist 2 (central defence), Trialist 3 (right midfield), O’Hara, Trialist 4 (striker), Cassidy, Forde.
Wolves (second-half): Dutton, Carter, Kellerman, Ortega, Trialist 1, Trialist 2, Trialist 5 (right midfield), Erdei, Reid, Keita, Boukari.
