Wolves will be aiming to get off the mark in the Elite Group of the Barclays Under-21 League this afternoon when they travel for a tough game against Liverpool (2pm).
The Development Squad were unable to play last week after the home game with Manchester United fell victim to the weather, meaning a second successive away trip after kicking off the new group stage at Tottenham a fortnight ago.
It was a difficult start at an in-form Spurs side in difficult snowy conditions, and a couple of late goals made for a 5-1 defeat for the battling Wolves team.
It is unlikely to get any easier this afternoon against a Liverpool side who were unbeaten when winning Wolves’ group in the initial stage, and got their Elite campaign off to a winning start with a 1-0 victory against Southampton.
However Wolves did manager a draw at the Reds in that first group meeting, Sam Winnall on target in the game which finished 1-1 back in August.
A match report will appear on the Official Website after full time.
