KICKZ awards - Stamford Bridge 2013

Wolves KICKZ recently made the long journey down to Stamford Bridge, home of Chelsea FC for the annual KICKZ awards. A host of inspiring young people received the recognition they deserved as volunteers, mentors and some of the country’s most purposeful youngsters were honoured at the ceremony.

On the back of a very successful awards ceremony in 2012, Wolves KICKZ were one of the strong contenders to win several awards and were shortlisted for six out of the 12 awards including the prestigious ‘Outstanding KICKZ Delivery’ award. This is a huge achievement for Wolves KICKZ and we (Wolves Community Trust) appreciate the hard work and commitment from all the staff, participants and partners throughout this past year.

Young participant Dante Spence was recognised for his hard work and attitude at KICKZ by claiming a Young Inspiring Person award.  We are very proud of Dante who had the opportunity to meet footballing legend Edgar Davids, who presented him with his award. Jessica Purchase also carried on her fantastic achievements with KICKZ by being recognised with another Volunteering Award.

Jessica had yet another awards ceremony to attend in March to again recognise her fantastic voluntary work over the last year (in which she was named the Young Volunteer of the Year at the Black Country Sports Awards 2012). Jessica was shortlisted for a ‘V-Inspired- Bringing Communities Together’ award and made it into the top three volunteers in the country.  We are very proud and appreciate all the hard work that she continues to do at Wolves Community Trust.

Wolves KICKZ provides free footballing activities in the Wolverhampton community, providing excellent opportunities for all young people, if you want to get involved or want more details about KICKZ then please do not hesitate to contact James Lowbridge on: 07779997778 or email
