Fans of Wolverhampton Wanderers are being offered a unique opportunity to rub shoulders with their footballing heroes – thanks to the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
Wolves are taking on the Johnstone’s Paint Pot Challenge on Tuesday October 1 and one lucky fan will have the opportunity to join the ten players and management staff as the club’s 11th man.
The successful supporter will join the players for the challenge after training for the ultimate test of accuracy.
Entrants have to try and chip the ball from the angle of the penalty area into a giant inflatable paint pot placed on the six yard box.
A successful chip in is worth ten points, while one point is accumulated each time the paint pot is hit.
Clubs will be attempting to emulate Oxford United who won the challenge last season and the top prize of £2,000 worth of Johnstone’s Paint product to use on club projects.
More than 30,000 people watched the ten videos on the Official Johnstone’s Paint Trophy You Tube site last season at http://www.youtube.com/user/OfficialJPT
“We are delighted to offer fans of the clubs taking part in the Paint Pot Challenge this season the chance to join players from their team in the competition,” said Ben Wilde, Brand and Sponsorship Manager for the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
“To have the opportunity to go and join the players at the end of their training session and be part of their team is a fantastic prize and we thank Wolves for their co-operation.
“Who knows, if the fan impresses as the 11th man, he may well get signed up by the manager!”
