Kenny Jackett has been named as joint LMA League One Manager of the Year alongside Leyton Orient’s Russell Slade.
The award was based on votes from all in League One, resulting in a tie between the title-winning Wolves Head Coach and Orient’s Slade, who is currently battling away to try and follow the Molineux Men into the Sky Bet Championship via the play-offs.
It was presented at last night’s 22nd Annual LMA Awards Dinner held at the Old Billingsgate in London.
“On a personal note I am delighted to have won this award from the League Managers’ Association and to have shared it with Russell, who has done a terrific job at Leyton Orient,” said Jackett.
“It is always good to be recognised, but I do feel that the award is a recognition for the work that everyone at the club has done towards our achievements this season.
“I was pleased to be present at the dinner last night representing Wolves and receiving the accolade which is on behalf of everyone at the club.”
Jackett has won several Manager of the Month awards both with Millwall and Wolves, but this is his first seasonal accolade which follows leading Wolves to the Sky Bet League One title in his first season at the helm.
The team posted several club records during the season including nine successive wins and 25 clean sheets, while the points tally of 103 was the highest ever in the third tier.
