Karl Henry, Stephen Ward, Jamie O’Hara and Roger Johnson have all been made available as the Head Coach bids to revamp the playing staff.
Jackett spoke to the players individually this morning having first addressed the whole group as they returned for pre-season.
And he also expects further movement from other players in terms of leaving the club, as well as new faces coming in the opposite direction.
“I’ve had a chat with all the lads as they returned today and talked about the importance of pre-season which is a very significant time,” he said.
“I’ve spoken to the four lads who have gone on the transfer list because I want to be honest with them and tell them that they are not part of my plans.
“They understand my reasoning.
“We will also be seeing what interest there is in the whole of the squad.
“Suffice to say that changes do need to be made as it needs to be a young and vibrant Wolves side coming out well now and coming out fighting.
“And the turnover has to be quick because we start again on August 3.”
In terms of potential incomings he added: “We have got our eyes on players and have been working hard behind the scenes.
“I think it is unprofessional to talk about other team’s players and sometimes for supporters it can build up disappointment if it doesn’t come off.
“So we will try and announce deals only when they are done.
“It is fair to say we are assessing the squad and looking to build and improve.”
