Sky Bet League One monthly awards

Kenny Jackett and James Henry have both been nominated in the Sky Bet League One monthly awards for October, announced this morning.

Head Coach Jackett is among the nominees for the Manager of the Month award just as he was in August with Henry among the quartet battling for the Player of the Month accolade.

Jackett guided Wolves to an unbeaten month, taking ten points from four games, the only two dropped coming against a Coventry side whose manager Steven Pressley is also nominated having led the Sky Blues to 13 points from their five fixtures.

Leaders Leyton Orient’s manager Russell Slade is also in the running, with the pacesetters taking 10 points from five outings, as is Graham Westley, who masterminded a Stevenage revival which saw them register three victories.

Henry meanwhile made an impressive impact in his first month on loan from Millwall.

He followed up an assist in the 3-0 win at Colchester with goals of his own against Oldham and Bradford and was one of Wolves’ key figures during the month.

Henry is up against Coventry’s midfielder Carl Baker, MK Dons striker Patrick Bamford and Peterborough goalkeeper Bobby Olejnik for the award.

The winners will be revealed on Friday.
