Wolves on travels in Capital One Cup

Wolves have been drawn away to Morecambe in the first round of the Capital One Cup.

The trip to face the League Two side will take place in the week commencing August 5, which follows the first league fixture of the campaign.

It will be the first time Wolves have played at The Globe Arena, although they did play in a friendly away at Morecambe - at Christie Park - in the summer of 2003.

The two clubs however have met at Molineux in this competition, back in August, 2007.

And on that occasion Morecambe sprang a cup shock, winning 3-1 after extra time.

Morecambe, managed by Jim Bentley, finished 16th in League Two last season.

Wolves were one of the seeded teams in the Northern section of the draw for the first round.
