Wolves in new Under-21 League

Wolves’ reserves will play in the newly formed Barclays U21 Premier League in the forthcoming season.

The team, drawn in group 3, will play home and away fixtures against Liverpool, Fulham, Manchester City, Chelsea and Middlesbrough. On completion of the mini-league, in December, new leagues will be formed involving clubs from the other two groups based on the respective finishing positions.

The teams playing in the other groups are: Group 1: West Ham United, Reading, West Bromwich, Everton, Arsenal, Bolton, Norwich City and Blackburn Rovers. Group 2: Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Stoke City, Manchester United, Southampton, Watford and Aston Villa.

Each team is allowed a maximum of three over age players in a game.

Wolves home fixtures, except the one against Liverpool, which is currently scheduled take place at Molineux, will be played at Telford on Monday evenings with a 7.00pm kick off.
