Leigh Griffiths has had his loan with Hibernian extended until the end of the current campaign.
The striker returned to Molineux last week for training under the eyes of new manager Dean Saunders. His initial loan to the Edinburgh side was due to expire this coming Saturday, 19th January.
He began his senior career with Livingstone before moving to Dundee from where he joined Wolves in January 2011 for an undisclosed fee.
He made just one first team appearance for Wanderers when he came on as a substitute in a Carling Cup tie at Northampton at the beginning of last season.
In November he won his first full Scottish cap having previously played for his country’s B and under 21 teams.
Wolves have a further year’s option on Griffiths from the end of the season meaning he is effectively secured to the club until the summer of 2014.
