Head coach Kenny Jackett has revealed that Wolves are on the verge of signing Barnsley’s Scott Golbourne.
Having been granted permission by Barnsley, the 23-year-old Bristolian arrived at Compton today for discussions with Wolves officials, and a medical.
Kenny confirmed: “We have agreed a fee with Barnsley and Scott’s here for a medical and to sort out personal terms.”
A left sided player who can feature in defence or midfield, Scott came through the youth system at hometown Bristol City before moving along the M4 to join Reading in 2006.
In 2009, he returned to the West Country linking up with Exeter City and it was from there that he moved to Barnsley for an undisclosed fee in January, 2012.
Scott, who has been capped by England at under 17 and under 19 levels, has made almost 250 seniors appearances in his career with half of them being for Exeter.
