Several former Wolves’ favourites will be attending a signing session at the Molineux Megastore this evening to mark the publication of a new book bound to strike a chord with the club’s supporters.
Club historian and programme editor John ‘Fozzie’ Hendley has penned an extensive 224-page publication – “A Hundred Pieces Of Gold” – looking back at 100 great Wolves games.
And to mark the publication some of the great names featured in those matches will be signing copies at the Molineux Megastore from 6pm-7pm this evening.
Willie Carr, Steve Daley, Gerry Taylor, Ted Farmer, Terry Wharton will all be joining the author in attendance, and fans can also take advantage of the current sale offering a 20 per cent discount of all merchandise.
It has been a fairly thankless task for Fozzie to pick 100 games from such an illustrious Wolves’ history, with all the favourites included.
Of course the famous floodlit friendly against Honved is re-lived, not to mention other European nights including the UEFA Cup Final.
FA Cup and League Cup triumphs are also detailed in the new book, as well as the joint best ever top flight away victory, 9-1 at Cardiff in
The 100 great games stretch back to the very first League fixture against Aston Villa back in 1888, up to the six goal thriller with Spurs in 2011.
