He spent six years at Molineux, mainly in the reserves, but made seven first team appearances and featured in the 4-4 draw with West Bromwich Albion in the 1954 Charity Shield at Molineux.
He moved to Walsall in November, 1954, making over 200 appearances for the Saddlers and helping them to two promotions before retiring in 1962.
The club would like to send their condolences to Bill’s two daughters and the rest of his family and friends.
