Roger ‘The Dodger’ Johnson and Kevin ‘Double One’ Foley are the first two names to be announced to take part in a special exhibition evening with 15 times World Champion Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor at Molineux this autumn.
Taking place on Thursday 4 October, the two Wolves defenders plus two further ‘mystery’ guests will take on four Molson Coors regional competition winners before going head-to-head to take on the main man himself!
Facing arguably the greatest player to ever grace the game holds no fear for Johnson.
“I’d like to think I could take a leg off him!” the defender stated confidently. “If it’s the best of five legs, I think I could win one!”
And it looks as though the darts board in the players’ lounge at Compton might be in for a hammering over the next few weeks!
“I’ve always got darts in the car just in case anyone fancies a game although I haven’t played in a while,” added Johnson.
“But even when I haven’t played and I get back on it I find myself peppering the 60’s – it’s like riding a bike!”
And Johnson hasn’t been afraid to lay down the challenge to the former World Champion.
“If he lets me get down to double ten he’s had it! I don’t even go for double 20 – single 20 and bang, lights out!”
Kevin Foley – on the other hand – doesn’t quite convey the same confidence as his team-mate.
“I’ve got no chance against Phil Taylor – but I did hit a 180 once, honestly.”

“It was at home in my garage – although there weren’t any witnesses. I started screaming and the missus ran in because she thought I’d stabbed myself with a dart I was shouting that much!”
Playing in front of an expected capacity crowd in Molinuex’s Hayward Suite has prompted ‘Foles’ to dust off his arrows.
“I don’t play a great deal now but I’m going to start practising again now. After all, I’ve got something to aim for…no pun intended!”
