The draw for the first round of the 2013/14 Capital One Cup will be made next Monday, 17th June.
The first round draw is seeded based on the final league positions of teams from the 2012/13 season, and then split regionally - north and south.
The seeded teams in the Northern Section are: Barnsley, Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool, Bolton, Burnley, Crewe Alexandra, Derby County, Doncaster Rovers, Huddersfield Town, Leeds United, Middlesbrough, Nottingham Forest, Notts County, Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, Tranmere Rovers, Walsall and Wolves.
The non-seeded entrants, one of which will provide the early season Cup challenge for Kenny Jackett’s men, are: Accrington Stanley, Bradford City, Burton Albion, Bury, Carlisle United, Chesterfield, Fleetwood Town, Hartlepool United, Mansfield Town, Morecambe, Oldham Athletic, Port Vale, Preston North End, Rochdale, Rotherham United, Scunthorpe United, Shrewsbury Town and York City.
The seeding rules out the chance of a first round derby tie for Wolves with near neighbours Walsall but with Port Vale, Shrewsbury and Burton in the non-seeded section, there is still the chance of a local meeting.
A total of 22 teams from next season’s Championship will play in the first round of the Cup with the Premier League sides, all but those involved in European competition, included in the second round.
As soon as the draw is made, full details will be posted on the webstite. First round games are scheduled for Tuesday 6th or Wednesday 7th August.
