In line with the requirement under the Football Association’s “ Football Agents Regulation G15”, the club has today released details of agents’ fees paid during the period 1 October 2011 to 30 September 2012. This is the fourth year of the requirement.
Total Amount paid to Agents in the period 1 October 2011 to 30 September 2012 was £ 1,903,403 (in 2010/11 it was £1,107,918).
The amount shown is the aggregate of all payments made to agents during the reporting period for agency activity, including payments made by the Club on behalf of players. The total includes not only the signing of new players and contracts within the twelve month reporting period but also any instalments that fell due, in the period, to agents in respect of previous signings and contract renewals. In total, therefore, payments in respect of over 30 players are included in the figure.
The initial costs relating to the summer signings of Bjorn Sigurdarson, Frank Nouble, Slawomir Peszko, Georg Margreitter, Razak Boukari, Bakary Sako and Tongo Doumbia are all included.
