Wolves’ Under-18s side will kick off their FA Youth Cup campaign tonight with a first round tie against Burton Albion at Molineux (7pm).
As ever, the opportunity to play at Molineux is one which will be relished by the young players who are hoping to put on a good performance in front of a home crowd.
“All staff and players are looking forwards to tonight’s game,” said Academy Manager Gareth Prosser.“The Under 18’s have had a good start to the season so far and go into this evening’s game fully prepared and ready for what will be a competitive encounter.
“The FA Youth Cup is the premier competition at youth level and provides the players with a great opportunity to play on the Molineux pitch in front of their families, friends, senior management and supporters.
“It’s an opportunity that I hope they will take and perform well.
“It will be great if supporters can come along and support the players on Monday evening and on behalf of the staff, we wish Mick (Halsall), Sean (Parrish), Paul (Clements) and the players well for the game.”
Admission tonight is £4 for adults and £1 for concessions. Free parking is available on the Stan Cullis Car Park.
