Rob Edwards and Wolves Under-18s made a winning start to the season by coming from behind to see off Derby 2-1.
The game was a repeat of a pre-season friendly played two weeks ago, which the Rams won 5-3, and the hosts made a strong start to the league clash and took the lead through Kellan Gordon.
Wolves settled more into the contest as the first half went on, and came out after the interval on the front foot.
On 52 minutes Derby striker Offrande Zanzala was penalised for handball and Regan Upton, pictured, stepped up to despatch the penalty.
And Wolves then followed up with another quickfire goal as Connor Ronan burst clear for what proved to be the winner.
Edwards said: The players were really keen on trying to reverse the score line and most importantly improve on our performance from two weeks ago – they certainly did this.
“The goals in the second half capped an excellent squad performance and ensured a winning start to our campaign.”
Wolves Under-18s now welcome Everton to Compton on Saturday.
