Wolves boss Kenny Jackett will embrace the challenge of Norwich City in the season-opener at Molineux on Sunday.
Speaking ahead of the Sky Bet Championship clash, Jackett said: "It is a terrific opening game, live on TV and because of what has happened to the clubs in recent seasons and now seeing where they are in this new season and what standard they are at.
"These are the games we want. We want to be in these games, testing ourselves – and we do early on. We’ve got some really good games."
Having been relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2013/14 season, the Canaries will work towards a speedy return to the top flight and the gaffer is well aware of the quality within their ranks.
"They have added Grabban for £3 million, a proven Championship goalscorer who did very well last year. They’ve added Lafferty to what is already a very good squad," explained Jackett.
"Both sides will know quite a lot about each other but in the end my focus is about us. And not just Norwich but Northampton, Rotherham then Fulham and Cardiff etc."
“I’m a big believer that you need to get your own team right. I’ve done fantastic analysis and broke down the opposition perfectly. But if my side is poor we don’t win. There’s a balance somewhere between the two where you can help your players.
"Whatever side they put out they will be strong. As I always say it swings back to ourselves and doing well ourselves."
