The major ultimate shareholders of Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club are: Guo Guangchang - Chairman of Fosun Group, Liang Xinjun - Vice-Chairman / CEO of Fosun Group, and Wang Qunbin - President / Executive Director of Fosun Group, who between them indirectly own the majority shareholding in the Club.

Laurie joined Wolves in October 2014 as Head of Commercial Affairs, before being promoted to Managing Director in August 2016.
Having completed his degree in 1998 in Business Studies and American Studies at Brunel University, Laurie began his career in one of the biggest media companies in the world – VNU Business Publications. A career in live event management developed quickly from there, with extremely successful periods of employment with ExCeL London and global caterer, Delaware North Companies, during the long and intensive opening of the £800m national stadium – Wembley.
As a sports fanatic, a career in sport was Laurie’s main ambition, and for three and a half years Laurie was the Commercial Director of the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, with the operational and commercial responsibility for a large proportion of the venue’s turnover, which comprised of a 130 bedroom De Vere Hotel Facility, an exhibition and conference business, match day catering turnover from the venues football tenant, Coventry City FC and a live events and concert business that hosted worldwide renowned acts such as Coldplay, Kings of Leon, Muse, Pink and Florence and the Machine.

A life-long Wolves fan, Black Country-born John is currently Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Financial Officer of Aggregate Industries Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Swiss based Holcim Group. Aggregate Industries is a heavy building materials Group operating predominantly in the UK and US with annual sales in the region of £2.5 billion.
Prior to that, John was a Director of Tarmac plc, where he worked for 35 years. He is also on the Board of Governors at Thomas Telford School and the Black Country Consortium.
